1. CUT IT OUT

Using scissors, a utility knife and a ruler, cut out interesting pictures and text from a magazine.
Tip: If you do not want to remove pages from the magazine, make a photocopy of the pages you like instead.

2. GLUE INTO PLACE

Spread a layer of glue onto a small section of the chair or spread a thin layer of glue onto the back of the image. Carefully place the magazine clipping (working in small sections at a time) onto the chair where you have applied glue. Use the tweezers to position, overlap and move the image if desired.

3. REMOVE AIR BUBBLES

Using your fingers, a popsicle stick or a brayer, gently smooth the image from the centre outward to remove air bubbles and excess glue. Allow the glue to dry.

4. COAT IT

Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to seal down all edges for a smooth finish. Allow the Mod Podge to dry and add a second coat for durability.

5. PROTECT IT

Spray a thin coat of acrylic spray for added protection.
